Program Description:
Program Overview

The DTU International Summer University offers courses with instruction entirely in English for BSc students of engineering or related natural science programs. There are three three-week periods in June, July, and August, where you typically focus on one course each period. International students are invited to come to DTU for a 1-3 months during which you can follow one or more of the offered Summer University DTU courses.

After you apply in MyEA, you must complete the DTU application and turn it in to Katherine Schwarzentraub.

Housing

The Accommodation Office at DTU will assist accepted students in finding housing. They recommend allowing between EUR 600-800 per term for accommodation, depending on the length of your stay and the type of housing available.

The DTU Summer University courses are charged at the UMD in-state tuition rate (regardless of residency status) and you will have to pay an accommodation fee directly to DTU. Each student should be prepared to cover own living expenses. UMD will charge you for tuition, Education Abroad fee, and international health insurance.

Billable Costs
Billable costs are charged to your student account. They are due based on the Office of Student Financial Services and Cashiering's payment schedule. Be sure to check your statements when they are available.
Education Abroad Fee $500
This fee is charged to your account when the application status is changed from "Accepted" to "Committed." This fee includes Education Abroad services including registration, billing, advising, risk management, and pre-departure orientation.
International Health Insurance $48/month
Tuition $1,600
This fee is charged to your UMD account upon course registration. This fee includes: Tuition, academic and advising support, course related activities, on-campus and in-country orientations,  and teaching services.
