Program Description:

A high angle view of a city
The course will examine entrepreneurship abroad, allowing students to compare and contrast across three settings (the USA, the UK, and the EU). This cross-cultural immersion will highlight simple differences in ideas and approaches to business (business cards) as well as what binds us together across boundaries (e.g., food). The course will focus on post-Brexit attitudes and opportunities for entrepreneurship in Europe.

Please note that this program takes place at the end of May.

You must be in good academic and judicial standing and you must not have any registration blocks to participate in this program. The minimum GPA for this program is listed above.

After you commit to the program, Education Abroad will enroll you in the following
three (3) credit UMD course:

The credit you earn during this program will count as resident credit.

Students will stay in shared accommodations in hotels.

*This program qualifies for eligible Pell Grant recipients to apply for the Gilman International ScholarshipOnline applications will open in mid-January and are due Thursday, March 9, 2023, at 11:59pm PT.

Billable costs are charged to your student account. They are due based on the Office of Student Financial Services and Cashiering payment schedule. Be sure to check your statements when they are available.
Education Abroad Fee $500
This fee is charged to your account when the application status changes from "Accepted" to "Committed." This fee includes Education Abroad services including registration, billing, advising, risk management, and pre-departure orientation.
International Health Insurance $50
Tuition $2,625
This fee is charged to your UMD account upon course registration. This fee includes: Tuition, in-country transportation, course related activities, group meals, and teaching services.
Housing Fee $625
This fee represents the housing provided during the program.
